It was a beautiful weekend so we planned lots of fun activities for our little outdoor lover! We headed to the playground where Ella still loves the slides. No slide is too big for her - or so she thinks! Saturday afternoon was spent at the pool. On Sunday we headed to the nearby Horse Track. Ella loved watching the Horses and seeing Aunt Brady at work!

We had a wonderful Independence Day! We spent several hours at the pool (one of Ella's favorite activities) and then we went to our good friend's house for an all American cookout!

Ella is learning new words every day. We really have to watch what we say around her now :) ! Her favorite new word is Elmo! We are not sure where she learned about Elmo, but now she wants to play with Elmo all the time.

I think the pictures say it all.... Ella had a great time at the lake! She loved being in the water, riding on the boat, fishing with daddy, and just hanging out on the dock. It was a great long weekend and we are all eager to go back... too bad that won't be until August!

Strawberries!!!

Today was Ella's first trip to the Strawberry Patch. I was a little worried about how she would do, but she absolutely loved it. She definitely ate more strawberries than she picked and she was a sticky, sweet mess in a matter of minutes, but she had a great time. She liked the ends of the strawberries the best though so she would take one bite and put the strawberry back in the basket. We may have brought home some strawberries with an Ella bite taken out of them!

Easter Dinner

We had a great Easter! Jessica's cousin, Jill, came in for the weekend from Radford. Brady and Dave also made it home for the Easter holiday! Jill and I thought that Ella would like coloring eggs.... Ella had absolutely no interest in helping with that, but Jill and I still had lot of fun! Ella thought the colorful eggs looked more like balls, but for some reason they did not bounce...

Easter day was very nice. The easter bunny brought Ella some very nice gifts and her first candy... mini M&Ms! Everyone came over after church for Easter dinner. We had our first meal in our new dining room! It was a very nice day!

Springtime!!!

With the onset of Spring weather we have made visits to the park the last 2 weekends. Ella loves being outside and exploring EVERYTHING! She especially likes the slide (both going down and trying to climb back up it!) However, the swing is definitely a close second! This Spring and Summer is going to be LOTS of fun!

Ella is officially walking. She started walking earlier this week when she discovered that she could not crawl and carry her sippy cup at the same time! She is still very wobbly, but she is getting more confident each day! She is pretty tough too... lots of falls, but not much crying!
