Pigtails!!

Ella does NOT like having her hair done... so I usually only get to do a ponytail and that doesn't stay in long before the hairbow mysteriously "falls out!" So, you can imagine my surprise when Ella asked me to put her hair in pigtails this morning for church! And then she actually sat still and let me do it!!! So of course I had to take some pictures! Here she is with pigtails... and she left them in ALL day long!

Ella's Puppy...

Ella loves her puppy Lexi. Well, Lexi isn't really a puppy... she is a 5 year old poddle mix and very tolerant of Ella! However, she does know that if she gets under our bed in the very middle that that is the ONLY place where Ella can't get to her!! We find her hiding there quite often! Ella wanted me to take some pictures of her with her puppy this morning... so here they are.

Our Little Entertainer!!!

This weekend Ella decided that the fireplace was her stage! She could not perform without her chef's hat and apron on though! She would sing... and sing... and sing... and then clap for herself! Yay Ella... and if you didn't clap too she would remind you to clap and say.... "Yay Ella!" She is turning into quite the 'ham.'

Fourth of July!

Playing in the water with Nonna and Papa

On the way to see Fireworks!

Fireworks over the Lake

We spent a long weekend at the lake for the Fourth of July. We had very nice weather the first couple of days so we spent a lot of time out in the sunshine. We went to see fireworks by boat (we thought Ella would really enjoy it!), but she quickly fell asleep and missed them all.

Great Grandma

Grandma and Ella being Silly
Ella and "her Grandma"

Thank you for the Teddy Bear Grandma

We made a trip to Culpeper after church today to take my 92 year old Grandma Grace out to lunch. Ella calls her "my grandma" and won't let you convince her of anything else.... like the fact that it is Papa's mother or my grandma and her great grandma... nope her answer to all those explanations was... "it's my grandma!" Ella and Grandma had some sort of silly game going on at lunch and Grandma gave Ella a teddy bear that she had in her room.
